What's up Doc?

Yesterday being outside was unbearable...apparently we hit triple digits and if you throw in humidity it was the equivalent of torture.  So we tried to stay indoors by going to different shops (that could be very dangerous so i suggest leaving your credit card at home). And Brooklyn needed to go in for her annual checkup to get a slew of shots and boosters.

She's one year and 5 months at the moment and 75lbs.  According to the doctor she needs to lose a couple of lbs.  I can't imagine how we are suppose to do that.  She already goes to the dog park 5 or 6 days out of the week and we don't give treats, instead give kibble for tricks which works just as well.

I also posted about her first trip to the vet here.

TGIF...i think

So far my Friday feels a lot like Monday...my morning train was cancelled yet the nice people of NJ Transit forgot to send an alert or make an announcement (i use the word nice loosely, very loosely) and everyone waited in the heat for 30 additional minutes and delays continued all they way into NYC.

Once i actually made it in, about 45 minutes later than my usual time i felt all out of whack. I missed my usual "breakfast time", also the few minutes i indulge and read the blogs on my blogroll and catch up celebrity gossip.

Yet when i made it to the cafeteria i was really surprised by the new treat they were serving: Friday Pancakes or Belgian Waffle. Here i am 10 minutes later with my steaming Belgian waffle beyond excited because my typical breakfast is so boring it doesn't warrant any kind of mention.  But today is definitely special!

Hope your Friday is going a lot better.

Only 8 more hours to go...

Happy Birthday America

I shot this video on Tuesday night (July 3rd) which is when the fireworks are happening in my town. I love how easy and stress free my time is when i just stay local. In fact we were sitting so close that it was raining pieces of fireworks. In case you were wondering the cardboard smells like sulfur.

Blogger Inspiration: Atlantic-Pacific

The fashionable writer Bee of Atlantic-Pacific has the most amazing ability to mix patterns and textures.  In theory the combo of polka dots, stripes and leopard should not work together, but in her reality the 3 are a perfect blend.  She is the inspiration for today's post.

I chose a blazer instead of a jacket because let's face it NYC in July is barely breathable.
