According to an anonymous source J.Crew is launching a new low-priced concept brand called J.Crew Mercantile (not to be confused with J.Crew Factory). The new stores will open in a few urban areas and suburban malls at first, I'm assuming there is one coming to NYC.
Think Old Navy to Gap, as J.Crew Mercantile to J.Crew.
I can hardly wait...
