Celebrity Inspiration: Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria can make an ASOS dress look like a million bucks. The shoes are Charlotte Olympia, but I included a more affordable version from Steve Madden.

Celebrity Inspiration: Princess Diana via Naomi Watts

I haven't posted outfits inspired by a celebrity in a few weeks and I am excited about this roundup because this incorporates 2 beautiful ladies. Oliver Hirschbiegel is currently directing a film about the last 2 years of Princess Di's life. Naomi Watts was hired to play the late princess and she could pass for her twin sister. You can read the story here.

Blogger Inspiration: Atlantic-Pacific

The fashionable writer Bee of Atlantic-Pacific has the most amazing ability to mix patterns and textures.  In theory the combo of polka dots, stripes and leopard should not work together, but in her reality the 3 are a perfect blend.  She is the inspiration for today's post.

I chose a blazer instead of a jacket because let's face it NYC in July is barely breathable.

Steal vs The Real Deal

I read fashion magazines religiously and they have such beautiful things featured...a $3,000 Burberry trench or a Jil Sander shift dress for a $1,000 and they label it a "must have" this month.  Ah yes, when i daydream i too can afford couture and designer clothes, have a separate room for my fabulous shoes/bag collection but then my phone rings and i crash in my reality where rent is always more important than a coat no matter how timeless and stunning it is.  So here goes my version of The Real Deal with some shockingly affordable and very similar pieces for a Steal.
